I came across an issue where when DayZ the game crashes or Steam itself crashes it leaves your player motionless and dormant yet still in game to be killed and looted. Playing with 2 friends and it happened to them and their bodies remained in-game while completely disconnected from the game/Steam, after reconnecting and "repossessing" the bodies a minute later we all disconnected at once only to be shot during the 20-30 seconds it took to reconnect to the server all of us where shot and looted.

Steps To Reproduce
so far it seems to be a game stability issue so we have not been able to reproduced this although it happened twice in a matter of minutes to multiple peoples games.
Additional Information
other than the fact we all launched from Steam, we all have different PC set-ups and geographical locations around Australia.

I've had the same problem, yet mine teleports me to another area. Then the game doesnt respond to key or mouse inputs.
Also my internet connection is fine, and steam is still connected.

To solve your problem we need dxdiag and all files from this folder: "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\"
Can you pack the files in winrar and upload it somewhere please?
