Just another comment (bump) so that more people see this. You put a lot of work into this, and it would be sad if they never addressed this. :)
I just hope it is only an Alpha problem.

It's a feature.
I wouldn't say this is a high priority issue, but it needs to be fixed nonetheless.
Nah, that's just evolution.
To think, this almost died yesterday until it was brought back by some moron 3 hours later.
Let's just end this discussion. Nothing else can be said, and no amount of comments on a bug tracker is going to make a difference because in the end, it is BI that makes the final decision. If you want female characters, mod them in. It's the best option, and if you disagree you are simply being unreasonable.
It does.
@Soldierman113
You people keep throwing that number around, but it means nothing.

"Now, onto you're [citation needed] comments, because they are ridiculous, and you don't have any substance to back them up. 40% of 'gamers' are women. You know who that includes? You guessed it, people who play games on their iPhones/iPods/iPads/smart phones. They make up for a HUGE % of 'gamers', yet all they are doing is spending 20 minutes on a hand held game that shouldn't be taken into account when talking about actual video games. Something that Ms. Anita Sarcisian clearly cannot fathom."
I legitimately believe that most of the women posting in this never planned to play the game.
And either way, this site isn't for things like this. It's for reporting bugs and other issues.
"The model doesn't need to be changed that much, just change a few poligons. Animations can stay the same, too, there's not that much of a difference. And as I have said before, they are already creating all of that for DayZ, they can just use the same data for Arma 3, not much extra work required!"
Argument invalidated.
Absolutely not. I would much rather have them work on the rest of the game than adding a bunch of models, textures, rigs, animations, voices, etc... all for just a new gender. Had they planned this from the start it wouldn't be an issue, but this is not something they should be concerned with now.
Maybe women will be on the front-lines in the future, but right now they certainly aren't. Take your "MUH EQUALITY" bullshit and leave.
