Can confirm this. Not only annoying because of ammo waste, but end up having others in the party shooting at the already dead zombie and at times hitting each other because of the confusion (Though that is more of a training and common sense issue, it would not have normally come up)

I have had the same issue. I didn't think to use the "prone" instead of "go prone" binding instead. Will check that out.
@ MewKew The config changes to the following granted me an additional 10 FPS. Runnning at around 40. Thanks.
sceneComplexity=150000; --> (cpu limited again!!!)
shadowZDistance=150; --> you wont see the difference, but notice the fps boost!
viewDistance=3000;

terrainGrid=25;
