Yup this needs to be fixed, I kill someone and can't even use his gear.
Some times you will be able to use the gear if you drop your gear first then put his on.
This is absolutely the most frustrating thing.

Come on ffs, 0.49 and still can't hear bullets or explosions that are 10m away.
