same problem but it did work a few times when I logged out away from town, and in the treeline, ill try some more.
Also when creating character and change clothes etc. when you leave and go back to main menu he reverts to default settings.

same, but today iv been playing on servers hosted by gameservers.com and iv logged several times and it hasn't happened, could be server related.

ok I was stuck there so I tried logging multiple times no good so I clicked respawn and quickly alt tabbed and right click and exit game in taskbar when I logged back in I was back and awake but in a bad way. :)
