I think the moon is upside down...
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I could be wrong but...

I think the moon is upside down based on the location (Mediterranean) that it is being viewed from on earth.

May sound trivial but things like this are important to me in a simulation :-) {F18676}

Well spotted.

In fact, the moon in-game looks as it would appear from the southern hemisphere, so possibly BI bought the image from an Australian astronomer. :D

I think need to make a "real" moon, lowpoly model with good texture with other features, likes region select etc...

Stratis world coordinates were changed in the recent update. Please check if this issue is still valid.

Stratis world coordinates bug is posted here, Bug #2400 "Stratis has wrong coordinates".

Would be helpful to state somewhere the coordinates for those of us trying to easily find the phase of moon within calendars. Performed an exhaustive futile Google search here.
