Issue Description:
Game textures take a long time load in, sometimes wont load at all, this seems to be fixed by turning off resize bar setting in bios, after that no more pixelated or blurry textures, this seems to be affecting nvidia and intel gpus.

My setup

Ryzen 9800x3d

Nvidia RTX 5080 (latest gameready driver, problem is there even with older drivers)

64gb DDR5

Game is installed on M2 SSD

I'm writing to confirm similar issues with almost identical setup: 5080, 9800X3D, 32GB DDR5, 2TB m2 SSD, X670E. The issue might not be limited to loading textures, when firing a weapon the firing sound can be played a second after the shot was taken. Occasionally the game freezes totally looking like a crash, but recovers after some seconds.

Reporting the same issue, 9800x3d, 5080, 64GB DDR5, MSI x870 tomahawk. Temps at 51C CPU and 50C GPU. Consistent stutters and regular freezes.

Same issue with Intel Arc B580 when the resize bar is on. When it is off, it does not occur but fps drops significantly that makes the game unplayable.

I can confirm the same issue on my System:

Ryzen 9800X3D
RTX 5080
64GB DRR5
4TB M.2
3440x1440 Display

The slow loading textures are present but more severe are the total system lockups for anything between a few ms up to 10 sec.
During the freezes the CPU utilisation spikes to 100% and the complete system gets locked up and is unresponsive.
I also noticed it getting wore the longer I play.

Turning of Resizable BAR helps a lot and makes the Game playable again. But it does not fix the issue completely.
The game runs fine for an hour or two but starts to freeze again if I play long enough and with more playtime the hitching gets more frequent and intense to the point where I lose server connection due to a timeout.

Salokin, I also have the same experience with getting worse over time.

So resize bar seems to be the culprit here somehow, as theres been a few similar and connecting problems, fps drop with resize bar off hasnt been a problem for me atleast not on reforger, some games still do benefit having it on.

But on the intel side, their gpus rely on having resize bar on, and hopefully theres a solution for that sooner rather than later so we can all keep playing the game as it was ment to.

Can confirm Im having the same issue after recently getting a Intel Arc b580 with resize bar on.

Is there any update regarding the matter?

I'm having the same issues my rig is
Asus tuf 5070ti
Amd ryzen 7800x3d
32gb ddr5
1tb m.2
1440p monitor

All drivers have been updated
Loading into a game takes 30 sec to a min to load all the textures some things look like playdough until finally loaded in. I have not disabled resize bar yet but I'm willing to try.

I am experiencing the same issues as described here.
OS: 24H2 (I have seen others reporting that this might also be causing an issue)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core
GPU: 4080 Super
Memory: 64gb

I have not had a major issue with textures loading. The biggest problem is the game freezing, Reforger CPU usage holding at 100% for up to a minute at worst (usually 1-5 seconds).
On a fresh PC restart, I can play for about 2-3 hours without any freezing, but it never fails to happen after that.

Troubleshooting steps taken:

  • Updated BIOS
  • Updated CPU chipset
  • Upgraded/downgraded GPU drivers
  • Increased page file size
  • Tried to play with game on either SSD (OS and other)
  • Fresh install with no mods

I have not looked into resize bar yet.
This has a major effect on my enjoyment of this game and I hope to see it fixed at some point.

Hoping for the best!

Throwing my hat in to the ticket/issue to hopefully get it prioritized higher!

Same issue, CPU spikes to 100% (from a regular 40-50%) for 3-5 seconds at a time, making my whole system freeze. Happens pretty sproadically, but noticeably when I'm turning my character/camera. If I'm just sitting and looking at the same spot, doesn't appear to happen. Assuming it's an issue with rendering. Seems to only be happening on AMD CPUs and seemingly on the x3d series (most reports have been 7800x3d and 9800x3d).

My Specs:

OS: Windows 11 (latest)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d (undervolted to 1.1V / 5000Mhz)
GPU: 5080
Memory: 64GB dual channel (non-expo)

Higher Priority would be nice, seeing as you can see through walls. Lol - Just to note I’m having the same issue with these specs

CPU: I5 12400F
GPU; Arc Intel B580
Memory 32GB 3200mhz

Update: I downgraded my Windows 11 to 23H2 from 24H2.
Today I played for 5 hours and did not encounter a single freeze.

Adding to MozzyFX comment, I just went all the back to Windows 10 22H2 and the issue is now gone. Textures load instantly and no freezes. - Good find!

I'm using Windows 11 24H2 as well. How can I downgrade to the version you mentioned?

I followed the steps in this video: https://youtu.be/T7Jwu4j8uSw
I have only tested for 5 hours, so I can't fully guarantee yet that this was indeed the problem, but for now it seems to have fixed it.

I followed the steps in the video and made a clean install of Windows 11 23H2. However, the issue still persists. Nothing changed :(
This problem is frustrating that prevents me to enjoy the overall game. I hope, it'll be fixed soon.

Which driver version are you using?

I am on GPU driver 560.94 (older due to downgrading with no success earlier)

I've just asked to @baileyg22 actually who is using Arc B580 as well :)

Hi @ermancelikk I’m on driver version 32.0.101.6632 for Arc B580 :)

Note; I tried the resolution that OP posted, and I turned off resize BAR in my bios, and after 3hr of play last night, I didn't have any freezes/stutters, and textures loaded in within 2-3 seconds after spawning (instead of taking 30-60 seconds as previously experienced). Too little testing/playing to say that was the golden bullet, will play again later today.

Additional note: I disabled resize bar before I downgraded my Windows, and it had no massive effect

Thanks for all your feedback. In 24H2 version, the game runs terrible with resize bar off. Because fps level decrease significantly. I did not try on 23H2 yet.

I've just try turn the resize bar off and log in to the game. Textures loads in 2-3 seconds but in low settings I cannot see above 50 fps. I gave up.

After another 3 hours of playing this evening, unfortunately it seems disabling resize bar in Bios yesterday was a fluke. After about 2hr I started getting small hiccup freezes for 0.5-1s and then at around the 3hr played mark, the freezes were back to 3-5 seconds long, making the game unplayable. I did notice the textures upon spawn kept loading quickly though, which is 1 positive, but without a fix to the freezes / 100% CPU spikes, I'll have to take a break

Hey guys,

Thought I’d share my experience after a testing Windows 10 22H2
with Resize Bar ON! - keep in mind I’ve only had the chance to play about 30mins but will test for a good amount of time next week.

Was running between 70-92fps on a highly modded server and textures load within a second. I got the occasional stutter when in a helicopter and a new area about 2000m loads in but it’s nothing unusual for a Bohemia title in my experience.

Im using driver version 32.0.101.6647
I have my Arc B580 tuned in the Intel Graphics software
Voltage Limit: 50%
Power Limit: 120%
100mhz Frequency Offset and Memory Speed at 20gbs

My Arma Reforger settings, I’m playing at 1440p with a mix of medium and low settings with high textures. only running some settings lower for visability.

Today I installed Windows 10 22H2 build. The issue fixed. Textures load instantly and my fps level has increased. Obviously, the problem was about Win11. Thanks for your feedbacks guys.

Hopefully there will be permanent fix soon, not really keen on downgrading my windows just for this.

@Geez would it be possible to get an update on this issue?
It's really taking the fun out of the game for me and I don't seem to be alone on this one.

I would really appriciate it.

Hey, just to confirm: The team are aware of the slow textures and the 100% CPU usage freezes?

Hey, just to confirm: The team are aware of the slow textures and the 100% CPU usage freezes?

as mentioned in the previous post, yes

Freezing has gotten substantially worse for me on a RTX 2060S and R5 3600 rig since the 1.3 update and seems to be affecting XBOX and PS5 now too

Posting here to confirm that instead of just 3-5 second freezes at a time, I am now experiencing FULL system crashes requiring me to force shut down my PC, with the 1.3 update...

Something is horribly wrong, can this be prioritized, please?

Hello everyone, the issue has been fixed with release of 1.3.0.130

Thank you very much! Any estimates when will it be in the experimental and in the main game?

Sweet! Im so glad to hear this!

@Geez This issue is still prevalent in 1.3.0.130 if not worse
