I received many reports in the last months that dropped items often fall through objects such as floors, roofs, foundations.
I made some tests with a Testobject which is attached to this Ticket.
First, i want to point out, that i made a Ticket about Roadway planes being off using Diag.exe as this was my first guess which is causing it, but the answer from the devs was it's a visual issue/design in Diag.

Moving on, i made some more in depth tests now, using a simple object with all its possible/usable LOD's.
By config, i created 4 classes using all the same p3d but each class inheriting from different Baseclasses.
- HouseNoDestruct
- BaseBuildingBase
- Container_Base
- Inventory_Base
How did i Test:
- I spawned the Objects with VPP Admin Tools
- I stand on top of each and drop a Pot.
- Tested with holding G, drag into vicinity from inventory and CTRL + Left Mouse Button
With Roadway, the Pot always landed on top of the Object as you would expect it.
Without Roadway, the Pot only landed on top of the Object which inherits from HouseNoDestruct. The Pot fell through all others.
There are definitely inconsistencies on how/where items land when being dropped while standing on Objects or Structures.
It seems on some it depends if you have a Roadway and on some not.
But even with Roadways, items tend to fall through randomly, especially in bases where floors, foundations etc inherit from BaseBuildingBase.
