Twice now I have dug for worms and my character has become unusable. I try to move but I just rubber-band in place. I can't move or look around. Re-logging is the only thing that fixes it.

This isn't 100% reproducible but several times I will squat down and dig for worms and after that I can't do anything until I log out and log back on.

I have experienced similar issues in 1.11 right after logging in, and when digging for worms.
Hello Gremmie.
We have tested the issue on our end but we were unable to produce it. Is it possible that there is something else that triggers it?

Geez
Sorry, I am not certain about exact reproduction steps. It only happened for me about 2 out of 5 or 6 times. I will continue to try to reproduce.
I managed to capture the bug on video in the latest Stable Version 1.12.153891

This is a common issue that happens a random after performing an action. You get stuck in place and need to jump up to be able to move. Jumping up always fixes it when you get stuck. My guess is that something is not aware that you have completed the action and it won't let you move. Jumping up is the only way to free yourself from the action.
I think it is at least similar. I'm not sure if the OP tried jumping to fix their state.
I do not know how DayZ works. Does the server tell you that you have completed an action and then your client lets you move? Or the action finishes on the client but you will not be able to move until the server tells you that you have completed the action? My guess is that packet loss or an overloaded server causes these issues if that is indeed how DayZ works.
Thank you for the video, that was very similar to what I experienced. When you go to dig worms the action is immediately stopped. If you try again you get stuck like that. Jumping did not work for me to fix it. I had to re-log.
Hello again.
We have been able to confirm the issue - it appears the issue is related to digging worms near objects/bushes etc. Can you please confirm?
Regards,
Geez
Hello,
Today I was able to confirm that was indeed the case. I had just crafted an improvised fishing rod and I placed it on the ground so that I could dig up worms. The dig worm action was stopped before I could finish and I became desynced. This time I was able to jump and that sorted everything out.
Thank you.
On mine it is only certain knives that break the game not location or other objects. Hunting knife, kitchen, steak, combat all work as intended. M4 bayonet and Fange have problems. And this will reproduce 100% of time. And Jumping doesn't help.
