Version 1.05.152636. Gameplay currently affected by freezing of screen and audio on different occasions. Most pronounced is when closing inventory using TAB. Opening inventory is fine, but freezing occurs for several seconds when closing the inventory using TAB. Problem always (100%) occurs when closing inventory using TAB. Problem also occurs from time to time when in-game, but much less consistently. Major issue because game will freeze during e.g. firefights, and whenever I want to use inventory.

Game currently installed in Steam files on SSD. Uninstalled and moved game to HDD to reproduce. Freezing much more severe on HDD, and consistently occurs every 5 or so seconds when sprinting. Closing inventory still causes freezing. Lowered graphics settings; problem somehow got worse. Appears that issue is less severe on SSD.
De-installed from HDD, re-installed to SSD; using recommended Nvidia GeForce Experience Settings. Game looks great and running 100+ FPS. However, closing inventory still causing 1-3 second visual and audio freezing 100% of time. Another brief freeze ocurred 90 seconds into gameplay whilst running to a house. After 4 minutes no other sporadic freezes. Freeze on closure of inventory remains.

@L0ul0ubear I am not of the developer group, just want to try to help you. My PC is similar to yours and is built on the Z97. I had a similar problem, even when I was playing Arma3. I was able to solve this problem for themselves.
I do not use any software needing to use an Intel Virtualization Technology.
In the BIOS of the motherboard I turned off the processor Intel Virtualization feature. I can not explain the cause of the bad influence of this function to work the game, at a time when it is not used by the system. Now my game is running smoothly, without stuttering audio.
P.S.
It does not correct the stuttering in the game related to network latency.
On the first experimental version of 1.06 I am having this issue as well. However instead of seconds, I get freezes of 500 ms maximum when closing/opening the inventory. I have not experienced this before.
I'm getting this a lot more after the latest hotfix on Dec 12th (build 1.06.152859). It happens often when you close inventory while in the vicinity of a nearby container, whether that is a tent, barrel or whatever does not seem to matter but I haven't tried everything. Sometimes the game freezes for several seconds, and once it snaps back it will lag and desync a few more seconds before it is back to normal.
I exactly have the same problem (hope someone's found a solution since then), my game will freeze after closing my inventory. Tried on HDD and SSD, it's better on SSD but still occurs every single time I close the inventory after not opening it for more than couple of minutes.
Retry again once the next Experimental update is released. If it keeps occurring then diagnose what is happening with the Windows Task Manager. What resources are being used and what happens when DayZ freezes? Does switching to minimum graphics settings help?
I haven't played DayZ for a while so I will try this as well.
In another forum I have seen players saying it helped to go into the DayZ folder, right click on the DayZ_x64.exe, go into "Properties" and the "Compatibility" tab and tick the box for "Disable full screen optimisation".
