Game crash with bad_module_info error
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Been getting this crash and error multiple times while playing new Tac-Ops DLC scenario. The crash occurs fairly regularly (5 times within an hour) but it happens seemingly randomly doing game-play or when reverting to a previous save. I'm not running any mods other than some community produced Steam Workshop scenarios which shouldn't effect playing a BI produced scenario.

Edit Update: Although the crash can happen randomly during game-play, it seems to happen mostly when reverting to a previous save.

Hello.

Thank you for the report. First, did you try these solutions listed here?

This might also be a problem that is caused by the recent Windows update, which causes crashes. If you can try to downgrade your OS to a previous version and let us know.

Sorry jako!!!
To nemyslíš vážně???

I have now stable OS.
Do you not think seriously "Downgrade OS".

I am serious. Users report that this same error occurs in other games as well so it is very likely that the OS is screwed from the last update.

We will do our best to unscrew this. Some users claim that they were playing in window mode and once they switched from full-screen to windowed that it helped.

I always played A3 on fullscreen.

BTW, you're right. Last update WIN10 (Fall Creators Update) is a bad, my pc does not work well.
I see two problems:

  1. my sound ingame and desktop freezing and looping cca 500ms - 1s, the problem is repeated after two minutes (i think this is the nvidia problem since the program version 385.69 and new)
  1. my mouse in A3 and Ylands laging, does not turn smoothly, i disable Sonic Studio (asus software to the motherboard, to adjust the sound) and laging mouse is gone

After a problems with PC, I am install last all drivers in PC via Driver Booster (i have licence) because on the Asus website are old drivers.
PC runinig better.

Yeah, it seems that this month is a screwy one. All updates, whether it be Windows, Nvidia or BattlEye somehow screwed up, and it isn't just us or our game. The internet is full of other games having similar issues as well.

I spent 44 quid on arma plus expansions yeasterday including apex and a download bundle. After several bad module crashes i got it refunded. Im so disappointed as i love the series. I used to play operation flashpoint and couldnt wait to get stick into arma 3. Gutted.
