First try unplugging your joystick and launching the game so that we can confirm that it is the cause of the problem.

Hi. I have the same problem, I have the joystick TRUST GXT 555. I try to disconnect the joystick and the game works. Any solution?

This is a issue of the joystick drivers, either reinstalling the drivers or looking up if there are new drivers for the joystick could fix the problem.
