Still doesn't work.

I have the same problem.

• In Zeus took over control of the character (the icon is similar to the picture of achievement).
• In the editor I took over control, the character played for chosen.

But I don't receive achievement.

I tried different options, action of "play as" - it is carried out.
Receiving achievement - "Puppeteer" (Ach3DENPuppeteer) - isn't carried out.

On Arma3 v1.56 - I have received this achievement, having performed the same operations, as in Arma3 v1.80-1.81.

• In the editor I took over control, character played for chosen.

Therefore, in Arma3 v1.80-1.81 there is a problem for receiving achievement "Puppeteer".

Any updates on this? Both achievements still not achievable at this moment.

Im having the same issues (June 2018). I have tried solving the issue by doing the following:

• Verifying game files.
• Created a new in-game Profile and tried doing it with that.
• Reinstalled the game, completely wiping everything except the profiles.

I have made sure that I am doing the correct action for the puppeteer achievement, creating one character which has player box ticked, and one that doesn't have either Player or Playable ticked. I right click on the one that isn't the player and select "play scenario as (unit name)".
For the Dressing Doll one i have made sure that I am configuring the Arsenal correctly by looking at several videos of people doing it and using the same initialization lines they are using. I am able to access the arsenal and change my loadout, but it doesn't give me the achievement. I have also tried right clicking the character and changing the loadout "the easy way".

I'm running the game on Windows 10 x64 if that helps.

For die-hard achievement hunters this is very frustrating, especially since it seems to only affect certain players. I saw someone who had unlocked the achievement as recently as May 2018, so then that player should technically be using the same game version as I am. I'm going through a series of cases on this page and on other forums but there doesn't seem to have been any indicated changes towards resolving this issue for almost a year. Hopefully it can be fixed for all players soon :)

Download and install Arma3 v1.56, on this version of the game you can get an achievement.

Do you have any tips on how i can download 1.56? I'm reading on steam forums and reddit that Legacy builds only support reverting one version back, and 1.56 must be at least two years old by now.

One thing i tried that i didn't mention in my original comment was that i tried using the Beta version, but it didn't help.

Both Achievments work on the latest Dev branch of the game give them a try.
