Description

Hi! If the player is in a prone position, and he want use his launcher, then the player's character automatically rises to the full height and begins the animation of taking the launcher from his back. At this moment, it is impossible to use a crouch! Player can press the Crouch-button even 10 times, but it will not work, until the the switching animation is not be finished! Just imagine that at that moment the enemy shoots at you. Switching to crouch works at any moment for any weapons(except Launchers) so why doesn't this work for launchers?

There are two ways to solve this problem:

  1. From the prone position, the player will automatically go not a full height stance, but to the crouch position
  2. During the take of weapons from the back, the player's character will be able to switch from fully erected/crouch and vice versa.

From prone body position, to the take your launcher - we have this bug

  1. place in the map player as AT-Soldier
  2. go to prone position
  3. if you located in the prone, press button which will take your launcher. After this, the player's character will rise up to full height and take the launcher from his back. At this moment (approximatelly 4 second!) during switching animation, press the crouch button. Several times!!! The player character will not use the Crouch, until completes the animation of switching to the launcher.

From erect body position, to the launcher - we no have this bug

  1. place in the map player as AT-Soldier
  2. Stay your body position as fully erected.
  3. press button - which will take your launcher and during switching animation, press the Crouch button. In this case Crouch will works!
Additional Information

The duration of the animation of switch to the launcher approximately 4 seconds. Theis time the player's character will not be able to sit down and will be the perfect target for enemy. As we know in Arma, four seconds is enough to get a lethal bullet between the eyes.
And only after switching animation, the player character will respond to the Crouch command, and will be crouched. Sometimes, this feature very annoying to the player during combat. For this reason, the player character can be killed, because this impotence prevents to control the player's character effectively.

Please Note! For comparison, if the player will change his weapon at the full erect position, then this bug does not occur! The problem will occur only if the player has started the change of weapon from a prone position.

Please fix this, this should work also well as when changing the weapon from a standing position

Hi @Lex, not sure what exactly you wanted to show, but thanks for this video.
I want again explain the problem through your video.
With a span of 0:16 to 0:19 in your video, the player can't use a Crouch.
But, If the switching weapons will from a standing position,then the player can Crouch at any time to change weapons!

Noticed same problem in a different situation. When this procedure to play out of position - standing or sitting. If, after the start of the animation with the start on the shoulder, just press a character on the ground. Animation procedure is complete and the character will be standing upright.
