It is not connected to public hive, it happened to me on private hive 3 times

happens on server restarts not just logging in after playing

This just happened when I tried to log back in experimental 1PP server DE-2 after the new exp patch today. Re connecting/joining another server did not solve it.

Same issues happened to several of our Server members.

Private Shard both the Master and a Slave server.

Whilst single carrying, whilst double carrying, whilst out in the open, whilst in a building, after server restart, after logging off and back in....

Very random to when it occurs, and cant be replicated on demand!

This happened to me twice, but the second time was likely a continuation of the first. On a public server, I was completely geared up with an m4 and an fnx. I had painted the m4 attachments green. I signed off for the day, and when I logged back in the next day I was stripped of all gear and my m4 was stripped of all attachments. The fnx still had its attachments except no mag. I relogged multiple times hoping it would fix itself, to no avail.

Using the same character, I then proceeded to gear up again. Luckily I was near NWAF tents. I gear up again and find an AKM with drum mag and experienced the same stripping of gear and weapons upon logging into a new server later that session.

Since that character died I've avoided the m4 and painting weapons/attachments and have not experienced the issue since.

It happened to me with an unpainted AK101, however I did have the mags painted. So there's that.

I managed to intentionally reproduce this bug !
In my case it's from CMag attachments and probably bipod.

1. swap RIS handguard for CMag and let the bipod on.
2. re-log
3. spawn naked with your m4 with only mag attached

Any ETA on the fix? Been hit a few times with this bug including last night and I'm itching to play.

Was speaking to someone and he said he believes the bipod is the culprit. Because this happens with akm as well I think he might be right. I have used vss this patch and not once has it happened where before it happened 4x to me with m4

never had it happen with bipod never use it and had weapon that does not use it so i believe is is a combination of certain items

Today my friends, I actually found out what's causing it. It's when you paint your buttstock any color of any gun, it will happen to you. I've tested multiple times. I wanna post proof but I have no paint on me right now.

you might have picked up a black painted buttstock which looks the same as default (if it were the plastic/polymer type)

Geez where do we stand with the gear loss issues? I have been trying to focus on the handguard and bipod but unable to find the bipod again.

Please assist, or readd in the bipod so some of us can help cold bug test this for you.

I will let everyone know, i did many hours of bug testing with assistance from others suggestions.
Not once can i duplicate the gear loss without the bi pod reference, and items swapping from hand guard to hand guard thus moving all objects around the gun inventory.

This just happen to me again for the 7th time. I forgot to put my gear in my backpack before I logged. I had an m4 with the MP handguard glitched on the bipod and flashlight also had MP buttstock, but it has happened to me when I a had different gun's too. so idk

Post all of your RPT and the rest to geez. He will need all the reports renegade.

I don't know what this RPT you speak of is and I uninstalled the game. I was more or less posting to let everyone know it's happening still.

my wife and I played today Dayz and the char of my wife (Charname: Sedimi) loses gear after reboot.

Situation before:
Server: 185.62.204.190   Port: 2302
Time: 6:45 pm
Location ingame: military camp in west of Myshkino; Char standing in a tent

Sedimi went into the tent with an AssaultBackpack (black / pristine; some clothes in it) in hands. She would change the primary weapon (worn) on shoulder with a found identic weapon in pristine.
She layed down the Backpack, get new weapon in hands and switch as first the handguard. After that the Rebootmessage was show in middle of screen.

Weapon old:

• AK101 worn - spray colored green
• AK Handguard Rail pristine - spray colored green
• 30Rnd AK101 mag full pristine
• ATLAS Bipod pristine
• WeaponFlashLight with battery pristine
• AK Polymer Buttstock pristine - spray colored green
• PSO-1 Scope pristine

Weapon new:

• AK101 pristine
• AK Plasic Handguard worn
• AK Polymer Buttstock pristine

Situation after reboot:
Sedimi stand in the tent without clothes, only with her old weapon (worn) on shoulders and the AssaultBackpack (black / pristine) in hands.
The new weapon was on ground and another AssaultBackpack (black / pristine) with exactly the same things in it as the backpack in her hands. The backpack on ground, was at the same position in tent as before reboot.

I have encountered this bug 4 times in as many days.
3 times on public hive and once on a private
Every time I have had 2 guns
2/4 have been a log out and back in (less than 2 mins) on the same server and the other 2 were hopping to another server.
Once I lost my gear with a friend who logged with me while another friend we were with was 2 mins behind us and was fine
At no point has this happened when we have had less then full military loadouts
The locations are Myshikino in the forest (where both of us lost our gear at the same time), Novaya Petrovka in the police station (private hive loss), Vybor by the water fountain, Komarovo in the yellow shed near the coast (next to the offroad spawn)

This happened twice for me, both times i spraypainted my attachments green, and as they didnt turn green i relogged hoping it would fix the issue but came back totally stripped. I also spraypainted a ghilie hood.

after another mishap I remembered something about my DC's so I decided to test it out today. I've been able to reproduce this bug when painting the folding buttstock and ak hanguard rail green on an akm twice. I will attempt to find more akm's and paint only one piece green.

The AKM had a
AK Folding Buttstock, (green)
AK Handguard Rail, (green)
Kashtan C-1 Scope
Weapon Flashlight with 9v
Suppressor East
ATLAS Bipod
75Rnd Drum (green)

This just happened to me. Like @Noragen, I was painting my AK 101 parts. My magazine disappeared and I decided to relog. Boom, all gone except the very AK 101 in my hands, only the scope reaming on it.

Painting anything is dangerous atm, some items have not been added to the dx11 render. Paining axes, mags and weapons not only clear your hotbar but it can cause memory errors and glitching out all over.

Just spawned naked with nothing but an m4 with no attachments.

I once lost leather trousers, leather jacket, leather backpack, leather mokassins and of course all the gear inside these items.
All leather clothing was crafted by myself and dyed brown.
It happened after I logged out on an public stable server and logged into another public stable server.

Happened to my brother twice. Log out, log back in with a stripped rifle, one round in the chamber, and nothing else. Annoying losing two sets of primo gear, and now we're scared to gear as it might happen again.

Though it is nice to have the one round chambered, you can put it in your head because you're fed up with the BS.

Hey I've had it happen a couple times as well and it 100% reproducible and the devs are aware of it. To avoid it happening in the future don't take a handguard from the ground and drag it directly to your M4 to swap that is what causes this I've tested it along with many others and it will happen every time you do that. Instead put the handguard in your inventory first then swap it with the handgaurd on the gun and your safe.

Just an additional piece of information, every attachment I had on AKM was colored green (handguard, bipod, 75rnd drum mag, buttstock), not sure which one is problematic or if it's all of them.

Confirmed happened to me on multiple occasions, so I was doing some testing and all I had was a shirt and 2 m4s. Click swapped handguard on the one on my back and it swapped handguards. Relogged same server and same occurrence happened everything gone but a stripped m4 even the one on my back. So it has to be the handguards. I strongly advise dont mess with the handguards otherwise RIP all your gear. Was on public hive btw.

oh yeah its the handguards for sure but i still swap them all the time i put ris handguard on three m4's last night with no issue on public, you must first pick the hand guard up and put in in your bag then swap it and you will be fine it only seems to happen when you swap directly from the ground without picking it up first. I always pick them up put them in my bag then run around for a while then I swap later and i never have issues. Public hive as well is where i did the testing with swapping directly from the ground and losing everything,

Happened to me after spay painting an AK101 gun, guard and stock Green (had a bipod, 30 round mag and a Kashtan)

I logged out as I couldn't interact with anything after drinking a cola from the floor.

Logged back in and lost all except the AK101 on my back, and a vest in my hands.
