It depends on the thermal imager, different wavelengths of light are attenuated by different things. But since ARMA 3 takes places in the future I would assume the NATO thermal cameras would be two color or more. This would mean they would be less effected by atmospheric conditions if the wavelengths they detect were chosen carefully by the engineers.
True silent walk should only be possible at a slow pace on clear ground (no sticks and bushes to make sound).
This feature is long overdue in vanilla ARMA.
It does make a difference, since sometimes you have many different types of cartridge, you may want to fill different magazines with different cartridges in different amounts. For example what if I wanted to fill my magazine with AP and the last 5 rounds tracer?
Laqueesha's suggestion is much better.
The 108g projectile defeats the purpose.
Yeah out of a 14.5" barrel with a 108 grain projectile. That kinda defeats the purpose of the 6.5 Grendel.
TraxusIV, unless the barrel length is under 16" 300m/s at 1000m for a 6.5mm seems a little low. I'm assuming that the 6.5mm in the game is a derivative of the 6mm PPC (which makes sense). At 1000m out of a 16" barrel I would expect the round to still be supersonic.
For ARMA to be considered a sim realistic damage models need to be included (for vehicles and humans). BIS have many of the features you listed already implemented into their VBS software.
@Grezvany13, hitpoints is a poor and lazy way to do vehicle armor and its a poor and lazy way to do body armor. A hitpoints system is not realistic in an way. Doing some basic body armor modelling is well within the scope of this game. Even the most simple body armor model is better than a hit points model.
@BLOODSERIES, proper body armor modeling would not use hitpoints, since body armor is heavy the disadvantage would be that you can carry less equipment/run slower/tire quicker.
THB the entire damage model for humans should be redone/enhanced, and don't get me started on vanilla arma2 vehicle damage (horrible is an understatement).
Grezvany13, that is exactly what we don't want. Adding more hitpoints is not a substitute for proper body armor modelling, its arcade shit that has no business in a game like arma.
At this point in the engines life there is really very little excuse to not have some sort of body armor modelling.
If the m40a3 and the m14 used the same cartridge and have the same barrel length and twist the resulting muzzle energies should be very close.

This is a low priority, maybe BIS will eventually get around to it. Women should be in game only as SUPPORT TROOPS and IRREGULARS. They should not be able to carry as much gear and should tire out faster. Women should have their aim deteriorate when shooting large and heavy weapons from an offhand position due to their lack of upper body strength. On the other hand women have smaller frames which makes them harder to see and hit.
