Yes vlad, -winxp caused the game to crash every-time. Isolated the game to only start with that parameter as well. Still crashed. When I removed that parameter it started fine and went back to the random DX11 crash. -nobenchmark -nofilepatching -nologs ...among many many other parameters I have tried. None work.
I appreciate the help. However, the frustration comes from the fact I work in the IT professional world. I don't take shortcuts and I accept when I screw up. I figure out how to solve issues before I waste a clients time.
any updates?
love it when you buy a game and cant play it because it crashes every-time you open it. DirectX errors and display driver fails only for that specific game. And then you have the devs tell you its something client-side instead of something wrong with the game. The best part is knowing the bullshit they are spewing because you are in IT and not some illiterate idiot they can bypass with useless troubleshooting.
pops this has been an issue, not just with me, for awhile. There is no excuse for why this hasnt been fixed yet.
Hi Iceman,
I uploaded all the latest crash logs. It happened yesterday like 3-5 times and those logs correspond with the times it happened. I also included my dxdiag so you can see what my specs are.
"This is hapening beacuse game is turning to mode that you monitor is not suporting."
No, I have checked and the resolution is correct with the correct refresh rate. Also, if I am not mistaken the game doesn't list unsupported monitor resolutions anyway..I dont think its a problem with the video card drivers. I have tried many and they all result in the same thing. I did dxdiag right off the bat.. Like I said it is an issue within the Arma 3 software...Just like the sound channel issue Arma had that they finally accepted was their fault instead of to keep suggesting things to the end user like it is a client side issue..Now all we need is for that to be recognized so we can stop playing the roundabout game.
You want to know what it is? It is a DX11 failure issue. The computer thinks you have physically removed the video card which causes the driver to crash. ARMA 3 software side is the culprit
I have a 780TI with a 2600k CPU. I have also tried everything and tried every parameter. It is an issue within the game that needs to be resolved...
I get the same fucking shit. It is an ISSUE that needs to be fixed. Stop pushing it off as if its not your problem ARMA 3 devs...damn that is the worst IT response. It is so damn unprofessional
