Yes. Even on servers that blatantly state they are high loot (and have been) have nothing at the moment.
Yeah, I think the requirements need to be adjusted entirely because everyone who is on 32-bit cannot properly use their full RAM and this game definitely requires more than they indicated upon purchasing the alpha version.
Outside of the lack of loot on persistence disabled servers, the glitches, tearing and low fps have dropped for me completely when I upgraded.
So I have bought a new pc with a msi gtx 960 2g vid card, 64bit win 8.1, 8g ram, i5 4690 quad core and while it moves a million times faster and I can finally see all the spectacular graphics there is still some issues performance wise but I have not run into the tearing issue but I have not played more than 20 mins so once I get some more time I'll update again. Thanks so much.
I will be moving over to 64-bit too next week and hopefully it will utilize all the RAM I shove into its butt lol...here is to more DayZ playing on a better system :) thanks for all the info and help the past months and I will update once I get it all in place ^___^
256/disabling everything I can (clouds even) and keeping it at very low and way outside of my resolution range (not 100%) is the only thing that keeps it from tearing and it looks like complete crap but at least I can play lol and i play in windowed mode as well
Yes it happened to me after 20 mins yesterday but looking around did not help and I am also experiencing crash errors upon exiting the application. Oh well back to 256 and practically no settings haha
Just an update I was able to play with Low to Normal settings with 512mg today on my Win7 32bit for the first time in weeks without the graphic glitching (tearing) if it seems like its just about to but it does not. I played for a good hour. I was very happy to see things in focus again lol...I hope to play a bit longer next time to fully see the latest updates impact. Thank you.
People have had this issue though even with 64-bit prior to the .50 and graphic issues are still listed as KNOWN issues in the last log indicating nothing has actually been done to fix it as of yet and I surely have not see any staff say its been resolved. But I look forward to your update. I have to buy a new mobo in order to do 64-bit but I am looking to build a new machine anyway but certainly not for this game - I guess I will just have to deal with the issue as 256 vid seems to stabilize it for me at this rate...;_;
Some people cannot up and install win7 x64 so this is not a fix especially when it worked fine on 32bit prior to the latest updates and really well to boot.
The graphics issue is listed under KNOWN ISSUES in the latest log - it has not been resolved yet, I don't think.
Known Issues:
Items do not update their state properly (durability/wet). Moving them, or relogging will refresh.
Server crash
Performance deteroriation
I haven't seen an ammunition case in 86 years.
Sorry if I sounded facetious but I was really honestly just asking why we were being asked because I hadn't seen any updates and since a lot of us don't use experimental...anyway appreciate all the help but unless there is some background information provided how would we even know to see an improvement if we are still sitting in very low and the same settings...thanks.
Unless there was an actual update?....why are we being asked if there is any improvement? Does this mean that there was something done behind the scenes? I don't even want to attempt higher than 256m and very low to even test it but if YOU SAY we should.... >_> lol
Thanks so much, I had to go to very low the other day and 256megs vid in order to play when it was working so well at just low lol...
Anyone else try the 256 meg thing other than GunSlinger and OP (about it)?
My game has become stable after reading through the comments and seeing someone set their vid memory to 256megs > even with some LOW and NORMAL and DISABLED options included (I just chose the LOW profile instead of very low and 516megs) and then reduced my vid memory to 256 and I have not crashed or had tears/graphics glitches once and I have been able to play for more than 10 mins...I hope this helps someone because ever since .47 I have been unable to play with BEX errors, crashing, graphic problems etc etc
Win 7 / 32 bit / 4gigs ram / 1gig video memory/ duo core
I just want to update that I no longer get a BEX error but now the standard APPCRASH error and its frustrating as hell because not only do I get this error now but my FPS and graphics are for shiet...this last update is the worst regarding graphics even if we set everything to disabled or very low - its like at least tell us what we should be adjusting on our end if its stops working - should we go to x64? for alpha? really? why...im so over this and the sad part is i will keep attempting every method I can find to try and play this again since I havent been able to play since 0.47
I have set my settings to the low profile and reduced my video memory to 256megs and I no longer get glitched graphics or crashes. This is very odd to me since I have 1gig of onboard video memory and plenty of ram so this may be something to looking into?
The other odd thing is even with VERY LOW settings I would get graphic glitches and crashes so it has to be lowering the video memory that has made the difference...thank you.
No worries. Thank you very much!
Is this ever going to be assigned? do you need more info? Is this an issue being worked on already? Please let me know and thanks.
Hello so this is still occurring even with anti-aliasing turned off completely I thought I would give it some time but still the same exact error over and over. Is this ticket in limbo? Thanks.
I have not had any update on this although when I turned off anti-aliasing completely it seems to not crash as much but I still would like to know if this was even looked at as when I googled the error its not uncommon and it says to turn off DEP but DAYz does not allow this to occur. Anyway just wondering and thanks!
Having same issue - when it crashes to desktop its a BEX error- attached my log and error below - thanks - makes even the alpha very frustrating.
