Hope this idea isn't dead yet. I would love to take a Blackfish from Stratis for HALO insertion on Altis. It would add a lot more immersion than taking off from the same island

I think I have some info that might help.
Since it only happens in Altis and might be RAM availability issue (it is 270km2 of high quality assets!), it has come to my mind that Arma III is only 32 bit. With only 4GB RAM available this poses a serious problem if all the assets from Altis is loaded onto the RAM (or just a bunch of it).

Meanwhile, my theory is, if Altis sucks up all the RAM, there are not enough resources to load the "Joystick Config File Thingy"

EDIT:

There are two scenarios for me:
No. 1. When I'm ingame and press the controls button it freezes for ~10sec. then goes to the menu. When I exit the joystick still Works

No. 2. When I'm ingame and press the controls button it launches immediately(!) without delay. Then all joystick input dissappears

Not the same error this time, added -nobenchmark and:
Started up, didn't come to any loading screen (just black screen)
Then instead, it minimized to tray. Clicking it didn't get any result.
I had to close the process in Task Manager

It works now. I don't know if it was the last update or another thing which was the solution (I didn't do anything actively)
