please delete, duplicate.
On further investigation the 3d printer can be mounted hanging off the ceiling so completed items fall to the ground, this makes it much easier to use because you can keep crafting new items without having to manually move the old item out of obstruction.
More messing about and I have been able to place the tripod lights on my walls so they are parallel to the ground.
I had this happen a few times today, to replicate you need to be dragging the cable ahead of you as you walk forwards. you need to go in a straight line for a while, eventually you start walking on the cable which is when you start to fly.
The same thing is happening when you stand on top of a large wall or floor panel and then press E to pick it up for a "magic carpet ride" raised in 000629
I thought about this last night, possible solution would be to only have the end few sections of the cable interact with the player, the middle of the cable would be able to pass through the player model.
Suggestion to Devs: Delete the elevator and use a ladder instead with an airlock structure at the lowest level and a hatch in the roof. More plausible because it weighs less. Right angle airlock structure good for multilevel bases too.
I had three cables stuck in the ground on the Victoria Settlement mission. They were caused by de-spooling the cables with the drum on its side on the ground.
One cable I successfully re-spooled because I hadnt moved the drum much, the first two cables I attempted to re-spool and failed, I tried laying the cable over the drum and they would not respool.
If you grab the end of the cable you can slowly drag the end but it remains stuck in the ground.
I attempted to pop it out of the ground by connecting another cable end to the twitching stuck end, but despite showing the blue hologram of a valid connection it would not connect.
Edit: you must move the middle of the cable up to the drum to respool, if you move the drum to the cable you do not get a respool option.
Night vision also works without suit too (no helmet).
Headlamp works at head height without suit/helmet.
