When running with a power cable it can cause you to launch through the air. if you are able to stop and reverse direction you can usually stop it and avoid damage but many times you are launched so far or high that when you hit the ground you take damage, sometimes very serious suit damage

Steps To Reproduce

grab a power cable by the very end part, same part you grab when you are attaching, then being running in any direction, 80-90% of the time for me i will begin flying.

Additional Information

I am not sure if a video can be be attached, but if its helpful and possible i will see if i can figure out how to make one. i can reproduce it with extreme ease. I did a search for bugs on "cables" and didn't see any that described this, if its already be reported elsewhere sorry.

I had this happen a few times today, to replicate you need to be dragging the cable ahead of you as you walk forwards. you need to go in a straight line for a while, eventually you start walking on the cable which is when you start to fly.
The same thing is happening when you stand on top of a large wall or floor panel and then press E to pick it up for a "magic carpet ride" raised in 000629

it will work for me and easily replicated when its dragging straight behind me. It seems if i toss it to the side or some how mess with the ragdoll like attributes to fling it out of a straight(ish) line behind me then i can usually avoid it.

What this might mean is that your issue an mine are the same, when its straight behind me im walking on it, and when its in front of you, you are walking on it. i don't seem to have the issue if the cable is off to my side.
and even when not holding a cable if i walk over a cable or onto a pile of them by an array of panels my char gets very jumpy hard to move and shakes a lot. overall i think there is something wrong with being 'on' cables.

I thought about this last night, possible solution would be to only have the end few sections of the cable interact with the player, the middle of the cable would be able to pass through the player model.
