It's also happened to me a few times. I've lost a Mosin, AKM and One of the new shotguns after server restarts. Each time I had these guns in my hand as my second weapon.

I also Lost my AKS-74U that was Inside my backpack. It was the first time I'd found it. I tried logging to a different server, checked and it had vanished.

I'm glad I found this. I'm trying the same right now in Exp. Getting nothing from the rabbit meat so far on the fireplace. Also tried cooking them in the cooking pot and they burnt. They changed from raw to burnt instantly. Not sure if that bugs been reported. I noticed it on stable 49 too, with Deer & boar meat on the gas stove/cooking pot burning instantly. Needs looking into.

Edit: Also tried cooking boar meat on the fire place in 50 exp. It didn't cook

Well I tried it and it did work for the back pack. I tested to see if the slots were still bugged before emptying it out then popping it back on my back and they were. Popped it on my back and then i could refill all slots. I would try with my tents but the servers i setup on always seem to crash a day into it :D It's so frustrating. I've lost 4 tents so far >.<

Good to know. I noticed similar with a bunch of bags I had. 2 slots seemed to mess up when i tried to eat them from the bag when it was on the ground and i hadn't put it on my back since I was back on that server. I'm going to go back in and try emptying it out.. then putting it on my back to see if that fixes the free slots.. if so maybe u could pack up ur tent and it could be a temp fix.

Its been like that for a couple of patches now (I think). I'm pretty sure it was taken out intentionally.

The fire also doesn't work inside a building (or most of them) on the ground floor. It lights up fine but you won't "Slowly warm up". You're best doing it outside if you can. Under a tree works if it's raining. I'd suggest you try lighting your fires in one of them small bunkers/sheds. They seem to work just fine in one of those. Hopefully they'll fix this soon.

I'm not sure If me offering a solution would be frowned upon or welcomed, but I know it's frustrating when waiting for a reply with these sorts of things as well as those trying to help having lots of reports to deal with. So I'll offer it anyways and see if it helps. Feel free to ignore it though Killslim :D
I would suggest
Close down the game.
Go into your documents: Windows button>documents>dayz and then delete the DayZ.cfg file. Then when you restart the game, the cfg file will renew itself and all settings will be at bare minimum when u go back into game. When in game go to configure, video,USER INTERFACE. Change the resolution to the one u want. Adjust the other 2 also if needed. Then go back to the other video settings and adjust all your settings like shadows.. textures and on and on to what you want. Then CLOSE the game again. Restart it and then go back into configure,video, and there change the resolution on that part also to the one u want. Hopefully that will fix it and you'll get the resolution you want.

Just remember the steps about first changing resolution in the user interface section first, restarting and then after that changing the resolution settings on just the Video settings page. I say this because on one of my pc's I play it on I also had a problem with it. This is the only way i found to fix it. Best of luck and I hope it helps. If not then Soz :D
