The chopper is locked after you enter it (I think) on the showcase or maybe you are not on the ground (aperntly you cant jump out of choppers at the moment)
If it is flares for the grenade launchers you are thinking of there are all ready there (http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=20801&n=last there are a list of all weapons and ammo that works)
the MX series are a caseless rifle and the tavor is not :)
the long one, the MX dont have any traditonal casing for the ammonition thre fore it dont eject any brass on the ground egither (sorry for my bad english)

I'd say go find a script or 2 since this game is not only meant for CQB but also for long range(500-700m)engaments were you might not be able to see who it is that is shooting at you(side) but just know were the fire is comming from. And i know that there is scripts for Arma 2 that makes a TK limit and no spawn camping ect.
Have any one tryed putting the AI skill down? since i just sniped 16+ OPFOR at 450-500m and they only fired a few pot shots after me
wold be great for some missions but lets take a puplic life server as an eksampel. There it will mostlikely be abused so maybe make it a moduel that allows for it?
and to Cevune I think some of the hostility might be because of a rapidly expanding player base were alot of ppl who are playing CoD and BF ect. come in for a new challenge and the old guys might be shared a bit of them turning it in to CoD or some thing else. I personaly have no problems making fx. the knifing thing but as long as you still have your freedom of choice to tay "Yey I want to be able to knife on my mission" or "No i dont want knifing on my misson" and that is the freedom arma is giving me in the abilty to make it like you want it (mostly) witch may other studios dont give you today :)
