i have the same issue, i thought my game was stuck too. but long waiting will get me in game. my char will spawn 5 seconds befor the please wait screen dissappiers and i can play.

app0815 thats right, but when in real life someone dies his stuff will still be there and not dieing with the person..

it is harder than it sound like, because there will be still shooting so i have to sneak to my stuff/dead body hopping noone sees me.

normaly my friend would loot my dead body empty(put it on the ground), so it doesnt dissappier and i can get it back. but i dont know how to do it when im playing alone and this is a big misadvantage!

and what is about i tried going down a ladder, the game starts glitching/bugging so i fall down the ladder and died. so all stuff is gone..

the most annoying points on the game is this issue and server restart, hope to play someday without this 2 issues, then dayz will have all my love :)

lost mine too, but i cant tell if a hacker stole it from me or something with the action menu wasnt working right.

just tried experimentel 0.47, looks like the bug is gone in this version.

yesterday i played with my friend, after leaving server and not restarting dayz his game stoped working as mentioned. so after he came back in he wanted to wait at how long the double would stand there, but as we saw the restart was a hour and a half away. we decided to kill the double and loot it. after this my friend logged out joined another server and viola he was not dead. so he joined back to the original server and still wasnt dead. so it looks like the double isnt connected to the player anymore?! the dead body was visible and lootable for at least 20 minutes(until we leave, i think until server restart) not like normal dead bodys that dissappier or become unlootable in 5-10 minutes.

same as me :( do you guys have a crash too, when i leave a server and choose the back buttom to main menu the game crashes after loading the main menu?

just got a server restart, after joinen the second server everything worked fine. so i tried joining a third server and the game crashed in the loading screen "wait for host". i will upload the files in the first post. for now i will close dayz after exiting a server, to protect my char.

normal mode is the same(another 2 resets), when i log out and go right back in i still spawn as my new charakter. hop anybody can help, gets annoying when ur full equipt and for no reason u spawn as a bambi... :-(

hi, i hade multiple char resets on different days. it looks like it had to do with deleting the file serverbrowser_hist.vdf, its lokated in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(your account number)\7\remote. the file deleting should clean my server browser history. after putting the original file back in place i had no char resets so far..
