I can also confirm this. I've been crashing once every 10-20 minutes or so, and I just saw Deadfast's post about antialiasing. I turned it down from 8x to 4x, and have been crash-free ever since. However, it doesn't happen just when I'm zooming in, but seemingly randomly. I monitored GPU temperatures and they never exceeded 62 degrees celsius. I'm using a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB OC with the Catalyst 13.1 drivers.
