As mentioned in the twitter post, besides deleting the 221100 folder, you also have to delete the configuration files from the documents folder (This can be done manually in C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ by deleting all the files, or verifying the game through Steam and then checking that you want to delete the config files when the prompt to do so appears) in order for the game to work.Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*YourID*\
In there, you have the following folders
221100 for stable client
1024020 for experimentalDelete the whole 221100 folder.
Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (Make sure Steam Cloud Sync is disabled prior to doing this)Regards,
