I just logged on to report this as well. fairly sure it is crashing the server as rejoin always has 0 people connected. also have video of said 'bug' 5 times in a row.

had it happen to me, the only thing i can think to add was when i climbed out of the sea, all items came back to me.. apart from anything you "threw" out.
