Both points being made to the main topic, that string might be better in PM's

@J2ackson: Current and not-so-current events beg to differ with the future potential of women in combat, as well as their involvement in war over the last decade:

Combat also does not occur soley on the front lines; supply convoys get ambushed, insurgents rise up in occupied regions (Not a Hollywood fallacy but also perhaps not the more commonly used 'Green Zone' term), and as the 2005 article notes, women have been employed to patrol 'outside the wire', i.e. outside the green zone (Friend of mine got -her- kneecap shot out performing this duty).

While I can understand not placing this at the priority level of game breaking bugs, it is a bug in itself to ignore the reality of women in combat during the future development of Arma 3, billed as an authentic combat experience. The developers have been dedicated enough to realism to photograph real-world military instalations, so they can and will surely be willing to make the addition of female troops to reflect the reality of war as it has been over the last decade (last century, even, but that'd be a history rant), and is set to be in the future.

"Experience -true combat- gameplay in a massive military sandbox. -Authentic-, diverse, open – Arma 3 sends you to war." -Arma 3 page on Steam

Based on the assertion that this game is intended to immerse the player in ‘true combat’, and that the experience will be authentic, there absolutely must be female models included in the game because they are a reality of true combat; women also pick up guns when they see their brothers, fathers, sons, sisters and mothers dying at the hands of an invading force, they do enlist in the military and do periodically become engaged in firefights, and they do, from time to time, die in combat. If you cannot accept the idea of firing upon a female, then you may fail the game mission when you’re confronted with a collection of feminine pixels, but if you never have to face that situation because you’re shielded from it by design, then it is just a lie to call the game authentic or to claim it gives you ‘true combat’ gameplay. Several U.S. females have been involved in live combat during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, I’ve known a few, and a whole hell of a lot more female indigenous persons have died during these conflicts. Women are a reality in war.

It can be seen that the ‘it’s in alpha so other stuff first’ argument will be flopping around.. the original poster didn’t set a time frame for this features implementation, only stating that it ought to be implemented, not necessarily immediately. Voting based on time constraints is irrelevant, give it a yes or no for female models and voice timeframe concerns in the thread.

Some folks may hide behind this argument to avoid saying what they really feel, and this is also wrong.
