Yea i had a similar problem when once I walked up to a rock for cover but instead the game shot me up like i was going off a ramp.

the game works much better with mouse and key than a controller you just gotta get use to it, but i understand the need to use one being a long time console gamer

also with civilians they just lay down instead of run away
