@KDK11, the difference in CMT and Medic is most likely nothing but a name, as CMT is British and Medic is US Army, actually we are called Medical Specialists, for admin purposes. Once we are out of training and earn the respect of our soldiers we are called "DOC".

@Ezcoo, My apologies went back and reread the note. Your correct I misunderstood. I know the US Army CLS has a stronger first aid training only becasue they have to certify yearly so they use the skills, the everyday person that does not is only trained in what we call Self Aid, and Buddy Aid, basically first aid.

Ezco in regards to your post about CLS, they are not a medical team. This is the lowest form of survival aid in the Army. These are the Soldiers that are tasked with immediate lifesaving and assisting the MEDIC, they can do nothing special or out of the ordinary. Myself as a medic can do 10x more and direct them in care. They are not tasked with patient evac or care under fire. Yes all Soldiers are trained to be CLS, this is a Army directive for any overseas deployment, the reason is there is only 1 Medic per Infantry platoon, and 3 medics per company. Thats alot of work for only 3 medics.

CLS should not be changed, But I believe Medic should be added.
