Having a similar issue with the same HS-W1 headphones.

Sometimes feels like stereo channels are inverted (L channel on R speaker and vice versa) and like Neugo said sometimes just sounds like R channel is off.

And, words fail to describe my level of sadness when it does.

somehow i fixed it, not sure how though. 1st suspect is the controller´s mapping mode, altough it only showed in arma and not other games (nba2k, eurotruck, etc,)

not sure of anything though, will get back if i reach a conclusion.

Upvote. I like this idea very much, not only for the sake of diversity, but mainly because i play in 1st person, and beign a tall guy, i feel the camera height does not match my real height and so it would improve imersion for my part if i could make my player taller.
