Hmm, I don't know if I like the idea of 2 different public hives. I liked it better when there was just private or public.

Me and my friends are having the same problem. I can assure you that we are joining public 1st/3rd person servers. I have a geared character in the north that I can use on the official servers all the time and some community servers, but some random servers will only let me use the other character I apparently have on the coast. For now a solution would be to only play on official servers.
