Oh I had no idea that they implemented it. But I don't think it's a good step forward, even tho I see where they are going with this, I think it should be on in the veteran servers or as something you can switch on and off server side. Right now If I don't have a light source (Or even if I have it) I rather wait 15 minutes till the night is over, than stumble in the darkness with broken light sources (I'm looking at you Head lamp which light source floats a meter above my character) and no map to check where I'm going.
