sab0t added a comment to T62117: cannot crawl onto rocks.

me and 2 others experienced the same issue, the collision / bounding boxes of the majority of the rocks cropping out of the terrain seem to be very far from perfect.

some rocks you are able to get on top of without issue, but going prone or crouching on them will show you floating due to poor collisions set on the rock "object". other rocks seem to have bad collisions for their sides, resulting in them being unable to climb when it should typically not be an issue given their height, as this case description suggests.

we found this was more problematic when we were already on top of one rock, and trying to get on to another.

sab0t added a comment to T62110: How you walk in game..

this is an _opinion_ on a purely aesthetic / visual topic, and you have marked it with the highest severity and priority available...let me put in perspective where you've ranked your dissenting opinion of a visual animation with cases of the same severity/priority:

"Arma 3 does not launch"
"Game crash on startup and in game"
"I don't like the walking animation"

please use the reporting features made available to you from the development team - a priviledge enough IMO - sensibly so that you don't waste time of people like me and others.

sab0t added a comment to T60792: Recoil causes weapons (even in semi-auto) to climb vertically in an unrealistic manner.

Unless we know specifically that it was not designed in this fashion, this is not necessarily a bug / missing feature.

there are many ways of simulating and handling recoil in shooters. What this case describes as what it "should" be is using a "Punch Spring" method, where the gun will spring up, and then reset itself. typically punch springs do also have a permanent adjustment to the crosshair position so that some manual correcting is required to stay on target.

Arma 3 does not appear to use any sort of punch spring effect, which means that handling recoil is one of the following:

a) intended to be handled by the player to stay on target
b) missing feature

Again, i'm not sure which one it is, but I just wanted to cover the potential other side here.

sab0t added a comment to T60301: Removing attachments should be easier.

I'm in support of Goz3rr's suggestion, that was the first thing that came to mind both when I first ran into this scenario in game, and when reading the original suggestion post.
