yes i tried that!
if i set windowed = 1 it works now.
but graphics kinda suck

try start the game in windowed mode (not fullscreen)
dayz startup parameter: -window
but as soon as i change the resolution in game, game crashes immediately

ok, when i change the resolution after joining a server i can play for a few seconds

I have the same problem.
didn't change anything on my system and can't get DayZ past "Wait a Moment" today.
Screen is stuck there till game crashes

tried everything but reinstalling the OS.

It would be nice if you would come up with a things to try list.
run as admin and safe mode can't be all you have

In Addition to Andy's List:

• delete DayZ startup parameters
• save & delete .cfg files and try again

So much confusion and people searching for nothing...

Can anyone say whats the status now for 0.52?
Do they spawn on persistent servers?
