They have acknowledged that there may be an issue in 0.46 that is accidentally enforcing the max limit of three heli spawns on all random spawns (random police car spawns etc), so while it is bugged, there *is* a chance that there will be heli spawns, but it is possible for a server no not have any (say, if three police cars are spawned instead).

It's a bug, it should be fixed soon, or so I hope as I'm running low on M4 ammunition :(

confirmed. and they don't seem to spawn on HARDCORE servers AT ALL.

The patch notes for the Exp server said they fixed it. They are still not spawning! I have spent over 200 hours dedicated solely to heli crashes.

I add around 25hrs of search for helis in the last few days on experimental (hardcore of corse)... found nothing.

Yesterday i spent at least 4 hours in a server, looking for 5.56mm ammo, i made a tour by whole 74 Helicrash sites in the same server restart, and i didn´t find anything.

Please fix this bug, or set the 5.56mm to be found at other places, because at this time i´ve 2 options to choice:

1 - Stop to play and wait for this fix
2 - Leave my M4 and pick another weapon

This happens on "Persistance ON" servers only.
Hope they fix this soon.

The heli crashes do exist, it's just that the texture for the helicopters are either not being used or they're appearing underground. I found loot where a crash site would be with no helicopter visible.

5.56 ammo can be found in military loot places. I found this type of ammo at Zelenogorsk/Vybor Military camps many times. And sometimes you can find in simple towns or perhaps police stations.

Bright brown/beige boxes (but i guess you know that).

It's on stable, rare but you can find with some search..for experimental i can't say the same but i don't play too much experimental since they messed up the loot spawn. If the loot spawn is still not working normally it's not unexpected that no ones finds it.

This looks fixed now on 0.52 , even on persistence on servers!

I was wrong.They was spawning on experimental but now estable its the same again.

They DONT SPAWN on persistent servers.
They DO on persistence OFF.
