Yes.
Debate about suitability of women for combat roles is neither here nor there and discussion of the practicalities should be left to the professionals; women are already serving in combat over the world and when the US is making moves to officially integrate them in these roles across its armed services it's difficult to ignore the reality. The fact the game is set in 2035 not only makes this more likely than not, it's also a good opportunity to step outside traditional constraints just for the sake of it.
I can see why not caring about this feature suggestion means not voting, but I'm frankly a bit dismayed to see how many negative votes this has compared to other features which are also not essential to the core game and depend on a little development effort. Leave the thinly disguised chauvinism at the door.
If nothing else, implementing female models is an excellent resource for mods (and no, not referring to the inevitable "hair and makeup" and "realistic T&A" mods...)
