In Arma 2 OA, soldiers had the ability to carry/drag their wounded buddies. The only way this is possible in Arma 3 is by scripting, which is quite jerky and looks bad. I propose that when soldiers are severely wounded and are unconscious / cannot walk (stepped on a land mine, knocked out, etc.), other soldiers, including the enemy, should be able to move them to cover and heal them / bring them to base and interrogate them and all that fun stuff. Some of the uniforms have carry handles, so the animation could be accomplished by having the person crouch down, reach (like explosive placement anim.), and then could only walk back or could press "X" to carry them on their back. To make the body dragging more natural, the wounded soldier would just rag doll with an attach point on the "carrier" hand. The body would stop rag dolling when put on the carrier's back.

That's probably the reason why it's not in the game. Be patient, its safe to assume that most features in previous versions will also be in this version.
Something tells me that ARMA 3 is going downhill. It is worrying that a simple feature like this is already in previous games and as far as I know the animations are in already yet still not implemented.
What is sad that it's a little team and BIS has people on another projects, and I think that the release is too early now. Another thing that it's not the same team than previous games, and yes on some points the game is moving slightly to arcarde or doesn't improve or doesn't have more features. Lot of things has to be implemented in the main game, after there's too much mods!
I want this for my mission module as an official ARMA 2 for Drag / Carry and be able to put a body in a vehicle for extracting
Would love a medic system native to Arma 3. If you can find the time BIS I think it would be a great addition.
I agree, only if they don't sue Arma 2 Animations for it. For example, have the ability to drag a downed soldier, and have their legs and arms rag doll so it looks good. Same with carrying. Have their arms and legs rag doll while you walk with them over your shoulder.
Carry/Drag was actually in vanilla ARMA 2, I remember when I played the free demo to test my performance and see if I could run the game and the tutorial mission showed me the drag and carry feature.
I agree. Being able to carry dead bodies would certainly help in stealth missions and stuff. Or bringing them back to a hospital or something.
An existing feature in A2. Simple wounding. Very much missed in A3. There is no reason this cannot be incorporated into the game. The feature should not be left to the community at large to implement as an addon to the vanilla game. It is expected of BIS to implement this feature as part of the game. The animations exist, the want from the community is expected. BIS, this ball is in your court as an expected feature; you have thought of it and planned for it. Finalize and release it.
As fatigue Arma3, wounded easier to shoot (((. Put the guy who worked on fatigue, a couple of bricks in a backpack, from grateful players)))
...............What??? Are you saying that you like to shoot wounded people and because you love the fatigue system the developers should strap bricks to their backs? I wouldn't use Google translate, it doesn't do well with grammar. Pretty funny though
Would it be a neat idea if you could transport dead bodies in the back of trucks? Or is that too much?
SilverDude, judging from the layout of the medical module variant of the new CSAT helicopter (http://i.imgur.com/RjV1JKj.jpg) this feature is looking very promising for a future release. Fingers crossed.
Nice! I hope this will be added at some point. Dead bodies do not clean themselves up.^^
(Maybe marksman DLC?-for stealth missions and stuff?)
Honestly I'd take out $4,000 if it could get me this module. I want the Arma 2 modules back. Also the Ambient Combat and Civilian modules. Those were so much fun
