Stars are enormously big
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When I start any mission at night the stars appear to be too big and too bright. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not, but definately looks unrealistic.

Ahh just turn up the fog if you want everything dark and gloomy.

it doesn't display that way on my computer, but from the screenshots you provided, /upvoted, those look huge!

do you have any custom display settings (aspect, etc) ?

I'm not using any modifications and display settings are all default

I've only had those kind of stars on 3rd party maps. The stars on Stratis look okay for me.

Asi je to už starý, kdyžtak zavři nebo přepošli pokud není na tebe.

The stars do not look like those screen shots in my game.
But they are still too big normally and should not zoom in with everything else when pressing right mouse button or looking through scopes.

They should be tiny and shimmer slightly due to light refraction, and stay the same size all the time whether zoomed in or not.

Closing as unable to repro (I don't see such stars, like in the screenshots).

yes Fireball , but stars are too big when you zoom !

You should open a new ticket then, do a correct description and repro. You can mention it here and I will link it.

Could this be to do with depth of field?

The game probably doesn't count the stars as 'in focus' (they are at infinity), so because they're a point source of light they'll be rendered just like an out-of-focus highlight in photography:

Turn off depth of field and see if your stars are still 'too big'.
