Casings eject very far from the weapon in first person view but not in 3rd person view
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Bullet casings eject very far from the weapon itself while in 3rd person they eject properly right from the weapon. This bug appeared in one of beta patches of ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead and present in ArmA 3

  • UPDATE ----

I've compared OA 1.60 and OA 1.63 and it seems that minimal distance for particles to render has increased rendering all casings from firearms invisible.

OA 1.60:
OA 1.63: {F19751} {F19752}

Legacy ID
Steps To Reproduce
  1. Open Editor, select Stratis
  2. Place any unit as Player
  3. Add following code into init line:

{player removeMagazines _x} forEach (magazines player); player addMagazines ["30Rnd_556x45_Stanag", 10]; player addWeapon "arifle_TRG20_F"; player selectWeapon "arifle_TRG20_F";

  1. Start the mission
  2. Shoot TRG20 and turn your head right to observe that brass ejects too far away from the weapon
  3. Switch to 3rd person and shoot again to observe that brass ejects properly right from the weapon
