When equipped with a lowered pistol, a player can move without making a sound and his movement speed is increased if he/she is crouched. The movement speed is at least as high as if moving at tactical pace.

- Load any mission with a playable unit that has a pistol.
- Equip pistol.
- Lower pistol, default 2 x Left Control.
- Crouch.
- Start moving and observe how your movement makes no sound, and that the movement speed is greater than normal crouching movement speed.
Event Timeline
Not only is there no sound but while moving like this your weapon isn't even lowered, it's the same animation as moving with your weapon raised.
It seems a lot of the pistol animations have yet to be fully implemented.

The player also incurs no fatigue while moving in this manner.
Might be a good idea to open a bug citing, "AI always detects intrusions as enemy." Instead they should shout or inquire whether friend or foe prior to shooting.
This might also be considered a server side or map setting, as to whether to detect intrusions as always enemy, or if the AI should question first before shooting.

I'm bumping this thread.
As of this date, the problem still persist. When equipped with a lowered pistol and crouching, the movement speed is increased.
(At times it looks silly when you see a players' squad running with pistols and crouched.)
