On console, the method to wipe the player database, without wiping bases etc in the economy.xml file.
We used to be able to change the line to the following:
<player init="1" load="0" respawn="1" save="1"/>
With a couple of resets this would reset players and nothing else.
however we now get error messages and it prevents us from wiping it.
economy.xml file
stop server
under the player init line change load to zero.
turn on server.
try to load in., error message is recieved.
turn off server.
change player init load back to 1
start server.
player database is not wiped.
For clarity, try to load in line, i mean try to join server, this generates the error

Setting load to 0 disables loading player database, that's why it causes error message (login error: unexpected database response).
It should never be used to wipe the database as It should disable/enable loading database without wiping it.
Stop server, delete players.db only. Start server. CLE remains, players are wiped. Not totally sure you can do this on console however
