Inability to Retexture Certain Weapons - Config.cpp, model.cfg & model changes

Hello.

It has been noted quite a number of times in the community that there is a growing number of new weapons added that do not have retexture capability and support which is an oversight with the new content added.
This has lead to members of the modding community, including myself, looking into other ways to retexture these weapons such as prefixing, as well as overriding the DamageSystem for the model.

Here are a few examples of the testing I have done to see what firearms are unable to be retextured.

SSG82 - Camo01 & 02 not defined in model.cfg.

SVAL - Camo Rails not defined in model.cfg

CZ550 - zbytek/camo not defined in model.cfg and model

Famas - Camo01 & 02 not defined in model.cfg

Longhorn - Camo not defined in config.cpp

P1 Pistol - Camo not defined in config.cpp and model.cfg

AUR AX & A1 - Camo for main stock textures incorrectly assigned. No matter what model.cfg says or is defined, unless the model is correctly defined with stock selection, retextures are not possible.

These should be a relatively easy fix. I have previously created a ticket regarding just the CZ550, so this can be merged if needs be.
If more information is needed, I would love some communication.

The jerrycan is also missing selections in the viewpilot, so it can currently be retextured but when you're viewing it in first-person it will revert to the basetexture.

Additionally the Gasmask Filter has no selection.
The CamoNet has no selections.
Hand Drill Kit has no selections.

I think (but am not 100% sure) the tan colored knive sheath is also having this issue

I and many others would love it if we were able to create more content by modding the textures of these guns! :)

So ive never found anything that was genuinely impossible to retexture, but everything mentioned here definitely does not work with the usual methods. I havent tried toe SSG82 yet, but every other gun mentioned needs a couple annoying workarounds to get a new texture, it would be so much easier and a better end result if all models came with a hiddenselection that allowed full modification of the displayed texture (and by extension, the .rvmat). The P1 stands out as a notable exception as being the most uniquely resistant to new textures, its difficult to get the colors you want on it, though pretty easy to make it either all pink or all cyan, im just trying to get camo patterns on it starting with snow. This is my best result so far and proof that its possible to do without modifying the .p3d or model.cfg.

@Geez Has the official stance changed on modifying/repacking vanilla .p3ds? All of these issues could easily be dealt with by the community if we were allowed to modify the default models and upload them to the workshop.
