Game Update 2.02: Fixed ACRO, RCO, MRCO cause headaches / migraines.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The problem described here is related to the following fix:
Fixed: ACRO, RCO, MRCO and Promet Modular Sight were using non-existing optics Post Processing effects

Please remove this effect again or at least change it to something else, e.g. blur. I have a big problem with the stereo vision effect around the scope which has now been added.
It gives me headaches and even migraines. As it is now, it's not playable for me. I would be very grateful if you would take this problem seriously.

Thanks a lot

No clue why there is chromatic aberration. Blur would probably fit better.

Hi, this was an unintended byproduct of fixing these configurations (the PP was not added, but was previously broken).
We're preparing a hotfix which will try to improve this. We've replaced the Chromatic Aberration for Radial Blur (which can be disabled via options). This is more in line with other scopes and collimators of this type.

If you have time, you can pre-test this hotfix via RC-Branch and Steam access code: Arma3Hotfix202RC (~450 MB)
This build is however not multiplayer-compatible with 2.02 itself. We'd be interested to learn whether this is a good fix.
