Unfortunately , in the Arma3, the waypoint "Seek and Destroy" works badly. The "Seek and Destroy" works almost as waypoint "Move", there are no significant differences between the two waypoints. I'm not even going to talk about the fact, that AI-infantry is not search inside the buildings. I want to say about what the hell, tha AI-squad stops the search after 45 second!? For 45 seconds the AI runs in different directions within only 50 meters and it's all. I did various tests. The AI-Infantry squad, will stops its search after 42-45 seconds in an open area. In the city, this search will take about one minute! The effectiveness of such a search ==0.
Unfortunately the сreator of the missions in the Arma3 can't influence on duration of searches in the settings of waypoint - "Seek and Destroy". Any settings for duration of the search, inside waypoint settings, would be highly desirable.
BIS, If you do not have the opportunity to create such settings, then the duration of searches and search radius for AI by default, must be increased. The reasons are obvious.
Also. If Ai have a several waypoints and last waypoint - seek and destroy, then looks very irrational, when after, reaching last waypoint, the AI stops any movement and further, forever is idle in the formation. If no one has found enemy, then at least, this AI-squad must be dismissed, within of not big radius (as at dismissed waypoint). Infantry units in Arma3, needs to look like a humans, but not like a robots.
Very bad waypoint duration of "Seek and Destroy" looks at AI-vehicles! After approximately 2-3 minutes, any Ai-vehicle will stop its movement and will idle. Why it stops so quickly? It should seek and seek and seek enemy within a big radius!
As it seems to me, the waypoint "Seek and Destroy" should be setting the duration of the search and for search radius. It will be the best solution!
Any solutions to these problems will be very welcome.
