0.61 Exp. x86: BSOD, memory access violation
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

I was just playing the version 0.61.136670 and got a BSOD (at least it looked like one; Win10 is strange).
Just before the PC crashed i saw a short (split second) blue flickering. it was rectangular and in two different locations. One on the top left and the other one mid-right.
I can not remember what exactly the BSOD said, but it had something to do with memory access violation.
DayZ didnt crate any dumpfiles itself, but at least the DayZ.rpt loged a problem before Windows decided to crash.

In case you need more information, just ask.
In the meantime, i'll check the integrity of the game and look for graphics driver updates.

Ok, just got a BSOD again (differnet error), and i had auto restart disabled this time, so i could make a photo (including the QR-code).

What i have noticed, was that in both cases i played a few min, made a pause with the game shut down, then resumed, played a bit more then got the crash.

I had already checked files (was OK) and updated drivers, so that should not be the problem, next time i'll try without recording.

New dumps:

Updated dxdiag (driver update)

That is one unusual error for a random 05 one. A blue screen?

Windows 10 Education 64-bit hmmm? legit?

You might need to reinstall windows if it keeps happening.

Hello HaseDesTodes and thank you for the report.
Can you check (if you havent before) if the issue also occurs when you are playing other games?
Regards,

no, never had this in other games.
it might realy be related to the recording software, but i use it in several games, and never had a BSOD since i use Win10 (i use it since it was released).

Edit: or maybe it isn't havn't been able to reproduce it since i last reported. With both plays.tv enable or disabled. (enabled was with 136700 disabled still with 137670)

no errors loged in DayZ.rpt

i hope the issue isn't on my side and i'm not wasting your time chasing problems that are none.

Hello HaseDesTodes.
It appears that this particular BSOD might be related to a faulty driver or corrupted file on your computer (Here is some information related to the file in your bsod http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/process.pl?p=fltmgr.sys). Can you try to do a clean install of all your drivers and let us know if the issue persists still?
Regards,
Geez
