Nvidia Shadowplay records DayZ gameplay very dark
New, NormalPublic

Description

Recording DayZ gameplay with ShadowPlay feature produces very dark videos. There is a workaround but video gets back to dark after alt-tabbing out. There is a video, explaining the issue and the workaround for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWQ6DdDs0bU
The bug has been here through the 0.60 experimental phase, and now it's on stable.
ShadowPlay was always working fine with DayZ, only 0.60 introduced the bug. During 0.60 experimental phase switch to 0.59 stable patch used to normalize Shadowplay work.
A lot of content creators experienced this issue.

Additional Information

This issue is important to fix because it makes content creation (mainly producing Youtube videos) a way harder. Even the workaround doesn't solve the problem fully, because it's very easy to accidentally alt-tab out and then forget to apply the fix again.
Shadowplay is widely used by DayZ content creators. It's defacto a standart for recording videos for Nvidia cards owners.
There was initially a lot of complains about this issue in social networks, at YT and Twitch.
I believe the issue is related to the new graphical engine of the game.

Event Timeline

Talking to nvidia about their shadowplay and they have gotten a lot asking about it and the problem is Dayz and they have an issue with the renderer not being right so nvidia will not have a patch/fix for it since they don't have the issue on their software. There are workarounds but they tend to be a pain in the but if you need to alt+tab for any reason you have to go back through and redo the steps every time. I doubt there will be a fix anytime soon for this since it has been since July and they still have not even said they are looking into it which is sad since streamer and youtubers keep talking about these issues only looks bad and could hurt sales.

They have acknowledged the issue:
