When a trumpet with any amount of bullets is folded, the weapon is replaced with the folded version.

• It would be expected** that the ammo would either be returned to the player's inventory, or the folded weapon would store ammunition when folded.

Instead, folding the weapon yields a folded version on the weapon that has no ammunition. Unfolding the weapon does not return a version of the weapon with any ammo.
