Character keeps running in one direction even when there are no player inputs provided.

what you have done with the movement?

randomly you cant stop or you run wether you want stop or yor run left or right.
sry what you did there?

why do you touch that movement settings?

its so nerving to Play the experimental ... :(

Happened to me yesterday. The character doesn't listen to your movement commands sometimes and they keep moving in one direction without you pressing anything.

+if you first press the sprint button and then try to go forward, you won't move.

I've a problem where my character suddenly sprints couple steps and get back to the speed I was going. Very annoying when you're fighting against something.

and i think that great bug cant be unseen in internal testing ... then i hope that is not a Feature!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems to happen if I hold the direction key for more than 1-2 seconds. I then have to double\triple tap the stuck direction key to get it to stop. I'm also running Windows 8.1 64bit with Razer keyboard and mouse. No macros in use during this issue.

It was constant while exploring the apartments of Elektro.

Confirmed. Seems to also get worse the longer a server is running, at least for me.

Confirmed. May also be applicable to other keys as I had issues with opening my inventory which lasted roughly 30 seconds, then I could use it again.

For what it's worth: Windows 8.1 x64, razer keyboard, steelseries mouse, HOTAS connected.

Laptop is new, hence the "W" button cannot be "stuck" ( it also happens in DayZ only ).

I have not had the issue so far on the stable release. But if I use the experimental .50 release it has the issue. It acts like your keyboard button is stuck when it is not. Tapping the key again a couple times will break the sticking movement for that direction. Deleted key double tap in configuration for Q and E. But have not been able to get the movement WSAD keys to function like they should without sticking on .50.

happens only to me, when server is getting laggy and i stop pressing a key during the lag, so that the stop signal is not recognized... i just have to press/release the same key once again between the laggs, to stop running/ect

Much worse on 1st person than on 3rd person servers.

Confirmed. Weird is, it seems to be coupled with the mouse i use. With my old crappy 10 bucks mouse it works just fine. No automatic movement or locking. I experience the issue only when i use my Logitech gaming mouse. And only in some settings. When i turn the mouse signal rate lower i have no automatic movement anymore. Default setting leads to automatic movement. Believe it or not.

happens also to me on win7 64 bit.

Just have to doubletap in the stuck direction to unlock it.
But it's very annoying...

  • Confirmed.

Releasing button while mouse moving cause stuck of action attached to it.
Seems the problem occurs for all actions who looped while button is pressed. (turbo, movement, inventory, zoom in/out, etc...)

    • Steps To Reproduce:
  1. Connect to server.
  2. Push any key or something from "W,S,A,D" (for an illustrative example).
  3. Start to move your mouse while holding button.
  4. Then release button while still moving the mouse.
  5. done. the action is now should be looped.
    • Specs:

Game version: 0.50.125073 / Experimental branch
OS: Windows 7 (64bit) | Windows 10 (64bit)

  • Temporary solution:

Do not move mouse while using action keys.
If action already looped you should reuse button attached to this action while not moving mouse.

Confirmed again, same here.

Experimental build is UNPLAYABLE for me. No matter what server. I tried changing the movement keys (f,g,h,t instead of a,s,d,w) but I didn't help.

As people already said, the game behaves as if one of your keys was "stuck". My character keeps running to the right, unless I keep pressing the left key which will then cause the char to stand still.

Win 7 64B, Core i5 @ 2500, 8GB Ram, Radeon HD6870, R.A.T. 7 Gaming mouse

Confirmed same issue here,
movement will only stop if I press the same keys again: i.e. press W ones and the AV will run forward now press W again and the AV will stop, same for all other movement (WASD) as well.
WIN7 64bit; AMD 4170; 16Gig RAM; Radeon HD6770; Mouse Logitech G500; Keyboard Cherry G230


Happened on a rooftop - character moved and did not stop, even when hitting the "w" button several times ... hitting "s" made it just moving backwards without stop.

Only way to stop it was to sit down (F3). When I missed the F3 button, I walked off the roof and died. :)

rest assured, we have been looking into this and might have pinpointed the cause. Do not get your hopes up just yet, be patient and please let us know if you encounter the issue after the next Steam update.

No issue for me, the problems seems to be fixed with the latest exp update.
