When reading this i surely hope bohemia consults competent people with REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE, and not the chairsoldiers of the world basing their arguments on youtube, wikipedia and infomercials :)
armor failure should not be implemented because of gameplay. (or atleast make it a hardcore feature.
Armor failure, as in a NIJ III+ insert failing to stopp a hi-power 9mm at 10m.
Its not supposed to happen, but it does.
Its "minor" bugs like theese that ruin the simulator experience, especially considdering how much effort is being put into RS weapon simulation, bullet trajectories and ballistics calcualtions. What is the point if the hit-zones are off?
Its like shooting at a digital range where some retard have adjusted all the targets down by double, because black sights on black center was "unconvenient".. :p
-Is there a command to show hitboxes as solids or 70% solid?

@DMills, AA's solution was accessible, could be used on expert or such? (or if medevac module is used)
Having limbs disabled \ reduced functionality however is stil a great comprimise IMO.
TunnellVission, and PTSS FTW!
If you have ever been shot IRL, you dont get a HUD display telling you shit. You attempt to stabilise and if nececary evac. That however would be rather lame for a game, and since most players dont want a hardcore field surgeon mini-game (I somehow doubt there are a lot of certefied medical personell here qualified for the relevant tasks) i dont see any reason for a super advanced wounding system.
